Good afternoon Lifers,

I hope you all had a fun and safe 4th! Praise God for our freedoms as Americans and as those set free in Christ to be all that we were created to be.

Last Sunday we kicked off our Battle Ready series discussing the importance of being AWAKE! Your enemy, the devil is prowling around, looking for someone to devour. You can’t afford to be asleep. If you missed it, click here to catch the message so you can be up to speed for this week.

Last Sunday was also the first Sunday we livestreamed our service on Facebook!! How cool is that? Thanks to David Tumusiime and Stephen Biastock for all their hard work in helping us get the system set up to make that available.

Many have questioned, why would we do that? Won’t that encourage people not to come. Well, some may take away that idea. But if you have ever been to LifeBridge, you know that LifeBridge is all about the experience: The presence of God, the love of the people, the excitement in the room and so much more. We want to share just a hint of that with whomever may be working up the courage to actually show up on a Sunday. And, because this family has become so meaningful to so many, we want to make sure that if our people CAN’T make it on a Sunday for some odd reason, we don’t want them to feel out of the loop altogether. After all, when something becomes so meaningful to you, you begin to develop a bit of FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out). And last, who knows, as we are worshiping and proclaiming the good news in Christ, some straggler may randomly catch the message floating out there on the web and God may use that to reach out to them in that moment.

Join us THIS SUNDAY, July 7th as we continue the series: Battle Ready! We will be studying Ephesians 6:10-12. You can read ahead, but come ready to be equipped for battle – or tune in online if you can’t be there!

Take a look below to see some of the life-giving things happening at LifeBridge:

Eight O’ Clock Encounter: As a church, our very first meeting was prayer. Every week we gather to make prayer a priority as we seek God’s power and His presence among us. No one has to pray out loud and people are free to stay as long as they like. This is a powerful time for us as individuals and as a church body. I hope you will give it a try if you have not already. Saturdays, 8am at the church.

Summer Baptism: We are always excited about baptism because it signals lives among us, transformed by the grace and mercy of God. If you are a follower of Jesus and you have never been baptized, what are you waiting for? Click here for more information about baptism or reply to this e-mail to start a conversation with one of our pastors. For everyone else, join us Sunday 28th from 4-7pm as we celebrate baptisms, share a potluck meal together, and enjoy playing, laughing and talking together. This year we will be at Lake Arvesta again. I hope you will join us.

Check-In Changes: Parents and Serving team members, please plan to spend a few extra minutes in the Check-In process this weekend. We are in the process of rolling out a new church data system and will be doing old-fashioned, hand-written name tags for Check-In this Sunday. We promise to get you through the process as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience with us as we transition from one system to another. (More to come – next week – about our new church data system).

The Living Room – New Hours and LIVE Entertainment: The new hours for The Living Room are Monday through Friday 8am-6pm and Saturdays 8am-10pm with live entertainment from 8pm-10pm. This Saturday, July 6th will feature Witn3ss.

Bridge Kids: There has never been a more important time to connect with kids about their spiritual journey. Many of us recall Bible stories that were shared with us as kids and most of us probably decided to follow Christ before the age of 14. BridgeKids provides an amazing opportunity to influence kids spiritually. Conversations, relationship building, spiritual formation, and worship are all part of the BridgeKids experience. There’s opportunity to impact kids in many ways and it requires many to do so. This Sunday, Jay and Donna Hostetler, our BridgeKids transitional team leaders, will be available in the Lobby to share opportunities about serving our Nursery—5th graders. You could be the person who makes a difference in the life of a child for eternity. Consider joining our Crew!

Worship On The Riverwalk: For the third year in a row, Hope Church is hosting a Christian Worship/Music series on the riverwalk down by the city marina. It’s a free worship concert that can be enjoyed by all. We see this as an opportunity for the body of Christ across all the churches to join and worship together. The experience begins at 7pm on Sundays the 14th, 21st and 28th of July.
