Wow, what an amazing response to last Sunday’s message!! 147 of you indicated that you wanted to be a part of SERVE SoHa! That means we only need to recruit 103 more to reach our goal and 104 to start blowing that goal away. What is the goal and what is this all about? I’m glad you asked.
In essence, our plan is to mobilize over 250 people to demonstrate the love and life of Christ by serving in multiple work projects across our community for our Birthday this fall. Please set Sunday, September 22nd aside on your calendar NOW. It will take lots of work in all kinds of ways to pull this off. We hope you will join the movement.
If you were not here last weekend, I encourage you to take 35 minutes to watch the message video from that day so you can be brought up to speed. I made the big announcement about where we are headed next with the SERVE SoHa project. If you didn’t get signed up for info on Sunday, or if you watch this video and decide you want to get on board, feel free to reply to this e-mail and let us know. We will add you to the group and begin to send more info so you can be informed.
Please make this project part of your daily prayer. I can’t wait to see how God moves among us and the impact He makes on our community.
Take a look below to see more life-giving things happening at LifeBridge:
Eight O’ Clock Encounter: Our last several weeks of Saturday morning prayer have been so powerful. I didn’t think it could get better, but it has. I love Sunday mornings, but there is a unique power in our prayer time. I sure would love for you to join us. If you are struggling, this is a time and place where your faith will be set on fire. Anyone is welcome. No one has to pray out loud. Everyone experiences a blessing. Saturdays, 8am at the church.
SATURATE Series: God has given us a vision to saturate this community with the life of Christ. Why? How? What does that look like and how does God partner with us to accomplish that vision? Join us on Sundays to catch the vision and how you can be part of the movement. Worship Experiences are at 8:30, 10 and 11:30am.
Father’s Day At LifeBridge: Hey, here it comes!! Father’s Day is always a huge bash here at LifeBridge. We love to take one Sunday and simply honor our men and dads and so we work hard to create an experience they will really enjoy. As always we will have a car show – which Jerry guarantees will be bigger and better than ever – with a new Sunday Thunder feature. You have to be there to figure out what that is. We will also have a BBQ lunch for which you can make donations toward the bus to church camp. (We have almost 50 kids going to camp this year!!) We will have fun carnival type games for dads to play and kids can play along too. We will even have a track set up for racing Hot Wheels cars – so bring your fastest car and race it against others. As always, we will also have 3 powerful worship services with guest speaker, Jamey Stiefel. Put it on your calendar and start inviting friends – Sunday, June 16.
4THE22 – Veteran’s Benefit Concert: 4the22 is happy to announce that we will be hosting a veteran’s benefit concert on June 8th! Join us at LifeBridge Church for a free concert featuring a 4the22 army veteran, Erika Rose! There will be no admission fee, but donations are welcome. Please click here to go to the event on Facebook for more info or to contact 4THE22.
Bridge Kids – Join the CREW: There has never been a more important time to connect with kids about their spiritual journey. Many of us recall Bible stories that were shared with us as kids and most of us probably decided to follow Christ before the age of 14. BridgeKids provides an amazing opportunity to influence kids spiritually. Conversations, relationship building, spiritual formation, and worship are all part of the BridgeKids experience. There’s opportunity to impact kids in many ways and it requires many to do so. This Sunday, Jay and Donna Hostetler, our BridgeKids transitional team leaders, will be available in the Lobby to share opportunities about serving our Nursery—5th graders. You could be the person who makes a difference in the life of a child for eternity. Consider joining our Crew!
LifeBridge Livestreaming: You know those days you get stuck home sick or need to stay home with one of the kids? Or those days when you are out of town for the week…or the winter? Well, you don’t have to miss the worship experience at LifeBridge any more. In a few weeks, we will begin livestreaming our morning worship experience in real time. We will have more details on how to connect to the experience once we are up and running. Until then, we are looking for techy-minded, detail oriented individuals with an eye for excellence to become the team who will produce our livestream each week. If you are interested in learning video production to serve on this team, please contact David Tumusiimi, our Worship Arts Director.
