Dear Lifers,

How Is your soul? When was the last time someone at work or school or from your neighborhood asked you that? When was the last time you saw a movie or TV show that even considered matters of the soul? One would surmise from the lack of attention given it that our soul is an incredibly small part of who we are, if it even exists at all.

But our culture’s perspective on this subject doesn’t change the truth. We ARE a soul. And if the core of who we are isn’t healthy, imagine how that affects every area of our life. If you have missed the first two weeks of our current series: Sou Care, click here to find the messages online so you can catch up. But don’t miss another week!! This has huge implications for every area of our lives.

God knows this and that is why He took EXTREME measures to make us spiritually alive. He cares deeply about our soul because He desires that the people He loves experience life to the fullest. We as a church exist to help people get and stay healthy and happy. And what happens at every level of our life starts at the center of it – in our soul (Proverbs 4:23).

Thanks to modern medicine and science, we are also becoming more and more aware of how to care for our bodies. We know that what we eat has a tremendous impact on our overall physical and even mental health. Did you know that your soul requires good nutrition too? This Sunday we will discus nutrition…for our souls. Wanna get healthy? Come and learn how to eat right. (In preparation for this Sunday you can read these passages of scripture: Matthew 4:4, Romans 10:17, Hebrews 4:12, John 6:63)

Now check out these other LifeBridge opportunities:

Eight O’ Clock Encounter:
Martin Luther said, “To be a Christian without prayer is no more possible than to be alive without breathing.” To be a Church (Living, breathing, gathered body of Christ) without prayer is just preposterous. Prayer is not just a good idea. It is critical to our existence and our success as God’s people. Join us Saturday mornings at 8:00 as we seek God together.

NEXT Classes: Wanna know what makes LifeBridge tick; why do we do things the way we do and where are we headed? Shout out: Hey, I just have to give props to Jerry Beckwith and his parking team. They have been amazing servants and they serve with an infectious attitude no matter the weather. This last Sunday, they knocked it out of the park – going to GREAT lengths to make sure all of our guests got into the building safely on that crazy ice. If you see one of the guys, make sure you express your appreciation for what they do as well. Thanks Jerry, Terry, Carey, Ron, Lucas, Dan and Tyler!!

Outside our walls:

We Care – Warm Your Heart Campaign:  Each year We Care raises thousands of dollars for heating assistance for people in our community who struggle to make it through the tough winter months. We believe that God blesses us so we can be a blessing. If you have been blessed with the resources to keep your family warm this winter, would you consider blessing someone else so they can do the same? We Care has partnered with several businesses and organizations to present a bunch of great ways to participate. Please click here to take a look at the opportunities available all month long.
